Professor A. Tsatsakis had the honor to be the keynote speaker together with Nobelist Dr. Lewitt from Stanford University in the international congress for Traditional Chinese Medicine organized by the Chinese government and Alpha group of companies. The creation of novel biomedical healthcare services, technologies, and products developed in Prof. Tsatsakis' labs at the University of Crete and from cooperating partner networks worldwide was one of the recent scientific highlights he discussed. The presentation and interviews sparked a lot of interest among Chinese government and business officials, opening the door to creative collaborative opportunities in the biomedical sciences that will be further exploited.
On Sunday, September 18, in Maastricht, Netherlands, Academician and Professor of Toxicology, Mr. Aristidis Tsatsakis, was awarded the prestigious EUROTOX Merit Award by the organizing and scientific committee of the 16th International Congress of Toxicology. The award constitutes the absolute recognition of the scientific and academic work and the outstanding contribution in the field of Toxicology. It is worth noting that this is the first time that this award has been given to a Greek scientist and one of the few times it has been awarded to a Southern European Toxicologist.
Professor Tsatsakis is Director at the Toxicology Science and Research Centre in the Department of Forensic Sciences of the Medical School in the University of Crete and The University Hospital.
