Academia has major role and obligation to disseminate knowledge to society by all means. I’m pleased and happy to contribute to Municipality of Malevizi to advance the programs for fighting addictions amongst youth. I’m great full for the honorary distinction by the Mayor and the Council and believe together we will succeed best achievements for the progress of society in general. Special thanks to my family and friends present during ceremony.

Η ημερίδα οργανώθηκε από το Δήμο Σητείας και το Εργαστήριο Τοξικολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης με συντονιστή το Καθηγητή Αριστείδη Τσατσάκη, υπό την αιγίδα της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Τοξικολογίας και της Περιφέρειας Κρήτης.
Στόχος της ημερίδας ήταν η αλληλεπίδραση επιστημόνων με κατοίκους της περιοχής της Σητείας με θέμα τις επιπτώσεις της μακροχρόνιας έκθεσης σε φυτοφάρμακα τόσο στην υγεία όσο και στο περιβάλλον.
